GasandOilLaw.com is published by the Law Offices of Johnson & Johnson as a legal resource for landowners, royalty owners, investors and producers.  It is designed to help identify and understand legal issues affecting various gas and oil interests.  Our contributors include gas and oil attorneys, geologists, environmentalists and industry professionals to provide a broad perspective of gas and oil issues from all parts of the United States.

Eric Johnson

Attorney
ERIC C. JOHNSON attended Ohio State University, earning a degree in economics and then graduated from the University of Cincinnati Law School in 1983. Eric is past President of the Mahoning County Bar Foundation and has served on the Ohio Supreme Court’s Board of Grievances and Discipline. His areas of practice are real estate, oil and gas, contracts, litigation and appeals.

Nils Johnson

Attorney
NILS P. JOHNSON, JR. graduated with honors from Dartmouth College and in 1976 graduated from Boston University Law School. He practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, business law, oil and gas, and real estate, and is a frequent lecturer on estate planning and legal ethics. He has been certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a Specialist in the field of Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law.

Molly Phillips

Attorney
MOLLY PHILLIPS earned her law degree from University of Akron School of Law. Her primary practice consists of reviewing oil and gas related contracts. Molly also litigates oil and gas law cases. Past litigation topics include dormant minerals law and lease breaking.

Nils Peter Johnson

Attorney
NILS PETER JOHNSON attended Western Reserve Academy, received his BA in philosophy from Bates College, and his JD from Vermont Law School where he studied environmental law. Nils Peter is active in the Mahoning County Bar Association’s Taxation/Estate Planning Committee and volunteers regularly with the Canfield Rotary Club. He oversees Johnson & Johnson’s website, as well as GasandOilLaw.com.
